Philadelphia Liberties - Tier 2 Girls Hockey Club
Founded in 2021, the Philadelphia Liberties are a Tier 2 all-girls hockey club based out of the Flyers Training Center in Voorhees, NJ, providing opportunities for girls of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels to compete and grow as players and people.
In just four years, our players have skated on the White House outdoor rink with Flyers alumni, visited the campuses of Cornell and Notre Dame, attended a PWHL game at the Prudential Center, captured our first-ever Liberties Invitational tournament title — and most recently, saw our 14U team crowned AGHF Platinum Division Champions.
More than a team, the Liberties are a family — and a proud part of the continued growth of girls’ hockey.

Coaching Staff
Linda Rehmann - 19U Head Coach

Growing up in Munster, Ontario, hockey has been a part of Linda’s life since a very young age. From ages 5 through 12 she played boys hockey, before joining the Kanata Girls and then the inaugural Ottawa Nepean Raiders team, the first competitive female hockey program in Ottawa. As a Raider, she served as a co-captain, winning two provincial championships in four years and defeating American university teams such as UNH and Northeastern.
Linda went on to attend Cornell University, where she played Division I hockey for the Big Red. In her sophomore year, Cornell went undefeated enroute to an Ivy League Championship. She served as co-captain her senior year, and graduated with a degree in civil & environmental engineering before going on to earn graduate degrees at Stanford and Drexel.
After her playing career, Linda coached her son Jack at the Flyers Youth Hockey Club from 2006-2012, winning a Squirt AA NJYHL championship and competing in several Silver Stick Tournaments. In 2023, she took over as Head Coach of the Philadelphia Liberties.
Coaching Philosophy
Linda's main focus as head coach has been skill development, team-building, and hockey sense. Throughout the year, the team has focused on fundamental hockey. Practice plans have focused on everything from edge work and stickhandling to flow drills and small game competitions.
