Figure Skating 101

Figure Skating 101 is designed to improve your confidence on the ice, sharpen your figure skating skills, and serve as a pathway to a future in the sport. Unlike a traditional Learn to Skate session, each class features 30 minutes of off-ice instruction, and 30-minutes of on-ice training, giving students additional time to learn and develop their skills alongside our experienced, professional staff.

This class is open to all skaters who are currently in Freestyle 2 or above. This is not for beginner skaters.

Curriculum includes:

  • Jumps
  • Spins
  • Performance skills
  • Edgework
  • General education on proper fitting skates, finding the right coach, entering competitions, and more. 

All classes are taught by USFS Coaches and former competitive skaters.

 

Class Dates, Times, and Registration

  • September 24
  • October 1
  • October 8
  • October 22
  • October 29

All classes will take place on Wednesdays from 5pm-6pm.

  • 5pm-5:30pm Off-Ice & Figure Skating Education
  • 5:30pm-6pm On-Ice Lesson
