Maximize your skating potential

Want to become a more dynamic and confident skater? Understand and utilize your edges! Introduction to Edgework is designed to make hockey players comfortable on their inside and outside edges. This program will focus on improving skating technique, balance, and control.

Edgework is utilizied at all times on the ice, including:

Tight Turns
Crossovers
Punch Turns
Mohawks

Lead Instructor

Ryan Van Natten

Ryan is a former internationally ranked ice dancer, highlighted by a 1st-place finish at the Mexican Championship, along with placements at the Four Continents Championship, and 33rd overall in the World Championship.

A member of U.S. Figure Skating, USA Hockey, and Learn to Skate USA, Ryan has been coaching since 2005, specializing in ice hockey with an emphasis on technique, edge quality, control. and balance.

Age/Skill Level: 8U-12U | Gladiators Hockey Club, Philadelphia Liberties, Flyers Youth B experience
